NetTest

PIDESO is developing the Netcentric product “NetTest” for the US Air Force under a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract.

USAFlogoNetTest is a product designed to provide integrated diagnostic capabilities building upon multi-service investments in Next Operations Management System (NxOMS) for a variety of previously developed and emerging AT Systems.

NetTest complies with and supports the IEEE ATML released standards for Test Description and Test Results as well as the IEEE ATML draft standard for Maintenance Action Information and provides the capability for minimally invasive (i.e. no TPS changes) full-featured integration. NetTest also provides an open system for integration of capabilities to collect testing data from a variety of test executives, including Versatile Depot Avionics Test Set (VDATS), TestStand, TYX PAWS/ATLAS. PIDESO is evaluating and modifying the VDATS system software to integrate NetTest.

NetTest leverages Boeing’s Netcentric NxOMS core Message Communication Framework (MCF) for client-server communication.

NxOMS is the next generation of the OMS framework and provides DoD compliant intranet and internet communication.

NxOMS core MCF is currently in the process of Information Assurance (IA) approval. VDATS TPS programming is performed in National Instrument’s LabWindows/CVI environment.

PIDESO products are DoD compliant [to include DoD Information Technology Standards Registry (DISR) ] with flexible hardware and software architecture, fully expandable and customizable for long-term viability, maintaining compatibility with emerging technology at minimum program cost and risk. The software uses state-of-the-art object-oriented constructs to take maximum use of the latest technologies to meet and exceed customer expectation for graphic user interface (GUI), graphics display, visualization, and animation.

Products that require net-centric operation conform with DoD Netcentric Data Strategies for implementing and sharing data in a net-centric environment. When required in PIDESO products or support system development projects, Information Assurance requirements conform to DoD Directive 8500.1E, DoD Instruction 8500.2, DoD Directive 8581.1, DoD Instruction 8510.01 and/or superseding documents.

The vast experience and skill set depth of PIDESO’s Software Engineering Team uniquely qualifies the company to tackle complex AT-System and associated TPS/Test-Kits development tasks using state-of-the-market software development tools and frameworks to deliver software products with state-of-the art object-oriented technology.
